3 effects on me of a Spring in Berlin.

It is my first spring ever! Coming from tropical backgrounds makes weather in the northern hemisphere such an experience! But even more if its in the wonderful Berlin. Why? Well, you can tell many things, but with three might be enough.

The mood and energy actually change with the weather! I read a while ago that in Berlin there are only two moods, Which I kinda got as a joke (even if I suffered so much this long winter), but coming out today, camera in hand, and suddenly feeling that peculiar combination of temperature, light, people’s behavior and color change of the city, I felt warm again in my chest. Today I felt like if happiness was sprouting again, and furthermore I chirped all day about with so much energy that I went from Dieffenbachstrasse to Potsdamer Platz and then to Ostbahnhof on a bike like nothing.

Is the first time In my life I felt okay smelling dog shit in the environment. Or at least since everybody is outside with their dogs, it just happens. I don’t know, but it was constantly smelling like barbecue grill, moist soil, dog poop and whatever was being sold in the stands (passing by the shischa places was meaningful) but in general it was a very pleasant smell. I smelled life again.

The feeling of not wanting to live anywhere else got strongly reinforced. Just being in this environment today made me feel like I made an excellent decision.
